Rockefeller Group Development Corporation is developing a joint-venture 500-acre Foreign Trade Zone 60 miles north of Los Angeles. The master-planned site is able to accommodate more than nine million square feet of new industrial development.
RGDC and partner Tejon Ranch Company completed their first joint-venture construction project in early 2008: a 606,000-square-foot warehouse.
Tejon Ranch Company, a publicly traded real estate development and agribusiness company, is the owner of Tejon Industrial Complex, situated on a 270,000-acre tract (422 square miles) at the southern end of the San Joaquin Valley.
The tract includes the partially developed 1,450-acre Tejon Industrial Complex, where IKEA has its 1.7 million-square-foot Western North American Distribution Center to serve California and the western United States and Canada
The Tejon Industrial Complex adjoins Interstate 5, California’s prime north-south route, at the junction with State Highway 99. The complex provides direct access to the ports of Los Angeles/Long Beach and Oakland, making it a strategic location for all FTZ users looking to operate on the west coast.
Immediately north of the FTZ site, the Tejon Industrial Complex has a motel, an expansive truck stop, and a dozen restaurants and eating establishments.
