Edgar Jones is Vice President and Regional Development Officer of Florida Operations for Rockefeller Group Development Corporation. In this capacity, Mr. Jones is responsible for marketing, leasing and development the firm’s current projects in southern Florida. He is also responsible for identifying new opportunities for the company throughout the state. His current Florida development responsibilities include build-to-suit projects in Miramar, office developments in Orlando, and mixed-use projects in Fort Lauderdale.
Prior to joining The Rockefeller Group, Mr. Jones served as Office Services Group Vice President and unit manager for Grubb & Ellis in Miami, Florida. He has been active in the real estate business in south Florida for 30 years, having managed the Cushman & Wakefield office in that market for six years. He was also in charge of the marketing and leasing of a major mixed-use project developed in a joint venture with Prudential Insurance Company.
Mr. Jones is a member of several real estate industry and business organizations, including the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks and the Institute of Real Estate Management. He serves on the Real Estate Advisory Board and Executive Committee for the University of Florida Center for Real Estate Studies. He is active in the community as well, serving on the Board of Governors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and on the Board of Directors of the Orange Bowl Committee, where he had served as president. He holds a BA degree from Stetson University.
Mr. Jones heads the regional office of Rockefeller Group Development Corporation based in Miami, Florida.
