Rockefeller Group Development Corporation developed a 363,000 square-foot Carrier Hotel and Data Center in Orange County, California, for communications carriers and Internet service providers. The high-tech facility, completed in April 2002, is centrally located in the Irvine Business Complex at 2001 East Dyer Road in Santa Ana. It is strategically located between Los Angeles and San Diego at the nexus of six major fiber-optic routes.

The facility was converted from an existing warehouse that RGDC acquired a year earlier. It features a 10,000-square-foot carrier-neutral meet-me room that allows diverse service carriers to co-locate their points of presence and access each other’s services in a fully secured and supported environment.

The Data Center / Server Farm area provides 353,000 square feet of space adjoining the Solutions Center. The area is ideally suited for larger space users to outfit leased spaces for their particular requirements.

RGDC's sister company, Rockefeller Group Technology Solutions, Inc., joined the development effort, designing and wiring the facility's communications services. Upon completion in 2002, RGTS operated the facility, known as Rockefeller Group Gateway Solutions, and it offered the client service providers there an extensive aray of managed services and consulting services, including data systems monitoring, support, management, design, and configuration.

The Rockefeller Group sold the facility in 2006. The quality of the physical facility and its management by The Rockefeller Group attracted Verizon Communications and other major service providers as clients.
