1.4 million-square-foot joint venture with Diamond Realty

Rockefeller Group Development Corporation is developing an 80-acre industrial site in greater Chicago, just off Interstate 80 in Minooka, Illinois. It can accommodate an industrial facility of 1.4 million square feet.
Located within minutes of the four-way interchange at Interstate 80 and Ridge Road, the Minooka site is zoned, annexed, and planned for a 1.4 million-square-foot distribution facility that has 32 feet of clear height and is divisible to 300,000 square feet. The building design accommodates up to 387 trailer spots, 313 dock positions, and parking for 500 cars. The site is ideal for a major build-to-suit distribution center.
RGDC acquired the site in 2006 in a joint venture with MC Realty, Inc., of Los Angeles. MC Realty, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, manages US real estate investment opportunities on behalf of Mitsubishi Corporation. (Mitsubishi Corporation, although it bears a similar name and is headquartered in Japan, is a separate company, unrelated financially or legally to Mitsubishi Estate Company Limited, the parent company of The Rockefeller Group.)
