IRVINE, CA, July 10, 2007 – Rockefeller Group Development Corporation (RGDC), through its regional office in Irvine, CA, has acquired approximately 24 acres within Chandler Corporate Center, a master planned Business Park at the southwest corner of McClintock Drive and Desert Breeze Boulevard in Chandler, AZ.  The company will build and lease eight office buildings totaling 248,000 rentable square feet.  In September 2006, RGDC acquired 76 acres in Chandler at Gilbert Road and Queen Creek Road with plans for an 866,000 square-foot business park, which will include office, commercial, and light industrial use.

“This is our second entrance into the Phoenix market in nine months, and we’re very excited about the prospects for both projects,” said Tom McCormick, SIOR, Senior Vice President, Development, for Rockefeller Group Development Corporation.  “We hope to be under construction by the first quarter of 2008.”

RGDC will build four 14,900-square-foot office buildings, two 39,900-square-foot office buildings, one 38,000-square-foot office building, and one 70,573-square-foot two-story multi-tenant office building. 

The location of Chandler Corporate Center to retail centers and major highways was instrumental in RGDC’s decision to build office buildings on the site.  “Chandler Corporate Center offers office tenants easy access to the entire Phoenix metro area via Loop 101 and Loop 202,” said McCormick.  “It’s also an outstanding location for offices due to its proximity to the Chandler Fashion Center Mall, Chandler Gateway, and Chandler Festival retail centers.”
