Rockefeller Group Development Corporation to Develop in Seminole County for First Time
Company Targets Orlando Suburb for Next Major Development
MIAMI, FL, October 29, 2007 Rockefeller Group Development Corporation (RGDC), through its regional office in Miami, has acquired approximately 28 acres adjacent to Lake Mary in Seminole County, Florida. The site is located on International Parkway between County Road 46-A and State Road 46. RGDC is well established in Florida and is currently developing Miramar Town Center, a 54-acre, $235 million mixed-use neighborhood outside of Miami.
“The Rockefeller Group is excited about developing in metro-Orlando and believes this market is prime for growth over the next 10 years,” said Edgar Jones, Vice President and Regional Development Officer, Florida for Rockefeller Group Development Corporation. “We remain confident in Florida and continue to look for other areas in the state to develop.”
RGDC is hoping to build a corporate office park that would include 200,000 square feet of office and retail space along International Parkway. Plans for the park are preliminary, as the company seeks site plan approval from Seminole County.
Miguel de Arcos, formerly of Sterling International Properties and now with Sperry Van Ness, represented The Rockefeller Group on the transaction.
