Gary S. Hauss

Gary Hauss manages predevelopment, design, and preconstruction activities for projects throughout the United States, including concept design and project budgeting; procurement and coordination of the design and construction teams; and preconstruction estimating, value engineering, and scheduling. He is also responsible for implementing and administrating standardized procedures and best practices for proforma development; design, risk, and cost management; and procurement and construction activities throughout the firm.

Mr. Hauss recently guided several major projects through the predevelopment phase, including the 1.8 million-square-foot mixed-use Flushing Commons in Queens, NY; The Green at Florham Park, a 268 acre, 2.1 million-square-foot office/hotel 6-building complex including a training facility for the New York Jets and 425 residential units; a 325,000-square-foot North American Headquarters for BASF in Florham Park; and a 1.2 msf mixed-use community in Miramar, FL.

In the past five years Mr. Hauss has also been involved in the construction of approximately 2 million square feet, including the first phase of Miramar Town Center in Miramar, FL; a call center for Delta Airlines in Miramar, FL; a parking garage/transit terminal for Miramar, FL; and an office building for Novartis Pharmaceuticals.

Before joining RGDC in 2001, Mr. Hauss worked for both Skanska Buildings USA and Turner Construction New York. During his 20 years of service with those firms, he was responsible for preconstruction services; project cost control; design management; subcontractor procurement and contracting; scheduling; construction oversight, risk management and quality control on projects valued up to $160,000,000. He worked on major New York City high-rise projects, such as the Deutsche Bank Headquarters, Saatchi and Saatchi Headquarters, and Citicorp Tower in Long Island City, as well as on various retail projects.

Mr. Hauss graduated from the University of Maine with a Civil Engineering degree.
