In her role as Assistant Project Manager, Nicole Simmons serves as Rockefeller Group Development Corporation’s fulltime onsite representative for major projects under construction. She serves as the day-to-day liaison for the RGDC Project Manager to the General Contractor and the various sub-contractors, and she acts as the representative of the tenants who will occupy the completed buildings. She resolves field construction issues, supervises onsite quality control, processes shop drawings, attends all job-site meetings, and provides accounting and cost management services for the project.

She joined the company in 2007 after serving as a Project Coordinator and Office Manager for three regional general contractors, all headquartered in Florida. Ms. Simmons has experience in commercial, residential, and retail construction work and is currently located in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on a 1.5 million-square-foot distribution center for General Mills. This is her second distribution center for General Mills; she recently completed a twin-sister 1.5 million square feet inSocial Circle, GA. Previously she represented RGDC during construction of a 1.1 million-square-foot build-to-suit distribution centerfor a major tire distribution company in Charleston, SC, and at a 1.2 million-square-foot mixed-use development under construction in Miramar, Florida.

Her geographic location changes as the company’s major projects dictate, ranging throughout the Southeast. Ms. Simmons is currently enrolled at Florida International University in the Construction Management degree program while completing her Associates degree in Building Construction Technologies at Broward College. She is a member of National Association of Women in Construction and is OSHA certified.
